EDA (ethylenediamine) is used for producing TAED (tetraacetylethylenediamine). TAED is an activator for peroxide based detergents and allows us to wash at lower temperatures still having the bleaching effect that we want for our white laundry. Of course, the lower temperature saves energy and in the end our planet. TAED also helps activating oxygen which inhibits bacteria growth – keeping our garments fresh longer. The long lasting and odorless freshness from our textiles hopefully reduces the wash loads and by that the use of water and energy.
